My Week #13 (2015)

Annual Leave, Brother's 16th Birthday And Getting An Eye Test Done

My Week #13 in my Filofax

Inside the train/ Birthday cake/ Birthday present/ A very cute smiggle pencil case I saw on the UK Planner Addicts Facebook group.
Bible verse of the week:
Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.
Psalm 107:8

This week, I was on annual leave but I don't feel well rested. I feel like the week has been really busy and I can't believe it's already over and I will be going back to work tomorrow night.

My brother turned 16 on Monday. I remember when I turned 16 back in 2012. They grow up so fast.

I got to spend some time with my friends from uni whom I hadn't seen in a long time. We had lunch at Pilgrim House and we watched Kingsman. The Secret Service" at the cinema. It was a fun day out.

I also got my eye test done. Finally. I will be needing glasses to drive as I am a bit short sighted and I am excited to receive my first pair of glasses :)

Finally, I got a new hairstyle. I got box braids and they are blonde and I love it.
Hope you guys are well. Thanks for visiting.

Scripture Art Journal Flip Through #3

Hello lovelies,
Welcome to another post in my monthly series where I share pages from my Scripture Art Journal. Today I will sharing my pages for March. You can view my previous pages here.

Week #9 Scripture
I love this verse so much because it emphasises the name Jehovah Jireh which is "The Lord Will Provide". It gives me comfort that no matter what happens God will meet all my needs- not wants, but all my needs.

Week #10

This is one of my favourite verses. I find it very comforting to know that He knew me even before I was born and that He already has a prosperous future planned for me. The past few years of my life have been very hectic and I have encountered plenty of difficulties in terms of  deciding my future especially when things do not go as planned. But this is one of those verses that assures me that I might make all sorts of plans but God holds tomorrow and He will direct my path and lead me to an expected end.

Week #11

I think peace is one of those things one definitely needs especially in this crazy world we live in. I find perfect peace in Christ alone. Not the kind of peace the world gives but peace like a river.

Week #12 scripture

I liked what MayMay said in her video about so many of us wanting to just sit back and letting things sort themselves out instead of actually asking for wisdom to deal with difficult situations. Whenever I think of wisdom, the first biblical character that comes to mind is King Solomon. One of the reasons he was such a great king was because he ruled with so much wisdom. It isn't normally something I would ask for but I think wisdom is very important in every day life.

Scripture for Week 13

I really love this  verse as it is all about praising the Lord and I couldn't agree more. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord :)

Thanks for reading. Stay tuned for April's pages.

Faith Journal Flip Through #4

Hey lovelies,
Today I am going to be sharing with you some of my Faith Journal pages for February 2015.

I love writing bible verses in the middle of my page before I journal.

I started doing a new thing where every month, I would write down a theme for the month in my journal.

These are the lyrics to the song -It Is Well by one of my favourite artists- Mary Mary. I just find the words to this song really encouraging.

I saw a page like this on Pinterest and I loved it. I think it's a great to-do list.

I try not to make my pages to turn out to be just words so I try to add an extra touch by using sticky notes to write some bible verses that I loved that week.

This page was inspired by a photo I saw on Facebook. I thought it was cool that you could arrange the words of this verse to spell Valentine.
That is all I have to share for now. Stay tuned for my next flip-through post where I will be sharing my pages for March 2015.
Thanks for reading.

Unboxing: Spring Gift Swap Box

Hello lovelies.
I have a very exciting post for you today. Or at least it is exciting for me to share with you. I did mention a while ago that I was taking part in a spring gift swap which was organised by the lovely Adele. I was paired with the very amazing Megan. Adele could not have picked a better match for me. We found out a lot about each other that we had in common. What could be better than pairing me up with a fellow stationery fanatic? Well done Adele!!!

This is the box which was sent to me :)

I love how Megan personalised this by getting my name on there. I thought that was very sweet of her.

I got this really pretty notebook with the bird which I absolutely love and also a set of 4 felt pens. I have never owned felt pens and so I am excited to try these.

Then I also got these sets of adhesive stones and stickers.

And onto one of my favourites. Washi tape. I love washi tape.

Decorative wooden buttons and adhesive cork letters.

Last but not the least, I got this book. I remember mentioning to Megan that most of the books I read were online so I'm excited to actually read this one. I might even review it on my blog.

I absolutely love everything and I couldn't be happier. I have already started reading the book and I am excited to use everything else especially in my journal and Filofax. See what I got for Megan in her post here.
Please leave a link to your Spring Gift Swap posts if you took part. I'd love to have a read.
Thanks for stopping by.

My Week #12 (2015)

Solar Eclipse and Spring Gift Swap Update

My Week #12 in my Filofax

I got me some owl sticky notes/ At the train station/ Eating chocolates at work/ Playing around with a doctor's stethoscope.

Bible Verse of the Week:
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God who gives generously to all without reproach and it will be given them"
James 1:5

This week was kind of spectacular in different ways. First there was a Solar Eclipse on Friday but in my part of the country, it was really cloudy and so we only ended up with the atmosphere looking like the one in the picture above.
Also, I finally got my Spring Gift Swap Box of goodies. I will be sharing a post all about that tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled :)
How has your week been? Did you guys experience the Solar Eclipse?
Thanks for stopping by.

How To Use Project Life Cards

Hey everyone,
A couple of months ago, I purchased a set of 25 project life cards from Etsy and even though I don't do project life, I wanted to talk about the ways in which I use them.
My Project Life Card Selection

For Making Dashboards:

Most project life cards have very pretty patterns and inspiring quotes which could be perfect for your a planner dashboard.
The 3x4 project life cards fit the mini Filofax perfectly and can always be used as a dashboard.

For the personal or A5 size, you can always stick the cards onto your dashboard and they do give you something pretty to look at when you open up your planner.

For Making Dividers:

Just like dashboards, the project life cards are also perfect for making dividers for your planner especially the mini size Filofaxes.

 For Journalling:

Since I bought my set of PL cards, I have found out that I tend to use them more in my journal.

I usually use them for writing quotes and sticking them in my journal.

Or just for decorative purposes.

Or for lists, stories, recounting events and many more.

For Writing To Do Lists In Your Planner:

The main reason I bought the PL cards was to use them to write lists in my planner.

I like having all my to-do lists for the week in the same place and so the PL cards are perfect for making lists, hole punching them and keeping them with your pages for the week.

For Personalising Your Planner:

Again these cards can be used for personalising your planner. You could just stick them in your planner pockets for decoration or you could write inspiring/motivational quotes on them, hole punch them and keep them in your planner.

Tracking:

These cards are very useful for those who like tracking things in their planner like monthly expenses, exercise, meals, water, spending and many others.

Colour Coding:

You can also use them for writing your colour coding system on and keeping it in your planner.

Scrapbooking:

PL cards are very popular to scrapbookers. Now I don't scrapbook but I love looking at the scrapbooks of others and I have to say that the result is really pretty.

These are just a few of the many ways one can use PL cards. Do you guys have any other ideas on how to use these cards? Please share in the comments. I would love to know.
Thanks for reading.

My Inspiration: Don't Lose Hope

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I did one of these posts. Some of you may know that one of the things that inspire me are motivational and inspirational quotes. This is just a blog series where I will be sharing some of my favourite quotes.

Even your darkest moments will have something bright. Hang in there and don't lose hope.

Failure is not when you fall down, but when you refuse to get up after that last fall. Don't lose hope.
Have a lovely day.
